In commemoration of the African Union’s Year of Nutrition 2022, AFSA rallied its members, African citizens, and governments to advance an African perspective on nutrition and food systems. The 4th biennial food systems conference highlighted novel approaches to learning about and celebrating African food cultures, foods, diets, and cuisines with the goal of mobilising African citizens and governments to demand changes in food policy and take action toward creating food systems that are healthy, nutritious, and accessible to all. The event will also serve as the official launch of the pan-African campaign “My Food Is African.” Join the social media campaign by using the hashtag #MyFoodIsAfrican.
